Crazy Christmas Decorations and Thizz Faces

On the way to Fuzz and Leslie’s, Jack and I discovered this extremely festive home. All of these photos are of this yard. What the photos don’t tell you is that multiple yard decorations played creepy Christmas music, moved around or blinked…

We got to Fuzz and Leslie’s eventually…

Then we watched an awesome documentary “Ghostride the Whip”… so good. We were inspired to put together a collage of our “thizz faces” after watching as a tribute to Mac Dre:

Ha. So rad!

Skating with Connor, Blaine, and Jack

First, we started at the baseball field ledge… Connor’s request. I got quite a few photos of Connor ollying a trash can as part of his line…

Then to Boulder to meet up with Jack and for me to jump a down a little gap. Then some goofing around down the street…

And even once the sun went down, we were still skating…

Good times guys!

Saturday session in mid November TF+

We started the day at Dave Fuller’s ramp in Longmont. A decent-sized crew…

Then we went to check out this spot… pretty cool, but we got kicked out immediately…

So we moved on to another spot. I got really distracted by the sky divers though..

Such an awesome crew, good day. Thanks dudes!

Halloween 2012

Halloween! I originally wasn’t that into Halloween this year, especially with it falling on a Wednesday. But Odessa had a good idea for costumes (one that was pretty popular this idea, from what I saw) and she insisted that I fro out my hair. So we got to work on our costumes as soon as we got home from campus that day. And if you know me, you might not believe it, but I was actually the first one ready…

Once we had taken enough photos at home, we headed over to Anna’s house because it was her birthday!!! Woo! A quick stop at Cosmos, and then Anna’s…

They have a balance board at Anna’s, which I decided would be good to ride with heels (I’m full a smart ideas)…

Then we ventured down to the Goose for a drink…

Odessa and I made head start downtown, got some specialty drinks at the West End Tavern, including a blood smoothie, and met up with Odessa’s friend Jane, an owl for the night.

Then a 6-pack of corona ran by…

…at the time I took this photo I had no idea that I actually know at least half of these dudes. I was pretty surprised when I looked through my photos a few days later and realized.

Odessa and I ventured over to Catacombs where we first saw Jess and Kristen, and later met up with Chip, Anna, Brittany, Lord, Matt Goldberg and a few others…

That was about it. Odessa and I walked home after a little bit longer, while I think the rest of the crew went to the Attic.

I took just a couple of last photos right before I washed all the makeup off my face…

…then it was time for sleep.

Second half of October. skating, pumpkins, pho, video premier, water park

On a Saturday in mid October, Glen and I made our way to campus to skate around. Before we got moving, though, I had him take some photos of me using the new skateboard racks outside of the ITLL, the building I work in. The building is trying to prevent students from having skateboards in the building (especially long boards) due to ADA reasons. Not too many students are aware of the racks or know how to use them – hence the photos. This one was actually used for a sign that’s up now:

Yup. I’ll have to take a picture of the end result. The racks are kinda cool, though, you just slide your board in between the bars, then put a lock between the upper and lower rings. Works perfectly unless someone has a skate tool to take your trucks off with.

Then Glen and I took on kickflipping the tiniest (yet still “gnarly” – ha!) gap ever…

(ouch)

We moved on from that spot, and met up with Jack, Neil, Blake and Alec.

Jack has some beautiful-looking front noses…

(there might be one more popping up on the null site…)

That night Brian and Denise had a pumpkin carving party (a few photos will appear in an upcoming cell phone dump post). I meant to carve both sides of my pumpkin (with a combination of Jack’s and my drawing skills) but only did one in the end. Odessa had this awesome cat (I think?) on her pumpkin from a different pumpkin carving party. Unfortunately I didn’t take a photo of them intact, only after Peter (our pumpkin-eating squirrel) chowed down on them, well, mostly on Odessa’s.

(oh yea, that’s Peter!)

One Saturday, Jack and I made our second stop along our mission to try ever pho place around. This time it was Black Pepper Pho. I was so excited that I forgot to take photos until I was almost done with this deliciousness.

Thanks Jack!! You rule. (And hope this wasn’t the source of your food poisoning.)

Then next day I met up with Connor and Blaine to skate in Denver, and then later we met up with Glen, Jason, and Fuzz. Jason picked this spot…

Glen, Fuzz, Jason, Dave Fuller, Chris Sessions and I went to see the Bones Brigade documentary at the Esquire in Denver…

Another night, before bowling, Jack and I were on a hunt for a spot to take a photo of the moon. It was huge and orange… and just looked so cool. So we found the highest point, and by then the moon was blocked by clouds…

So instead, we discovered a water park…

Always up for an adventure.

Jack and I headed up to Breckenridge a few weeks ago… a Saturday in mid October. We had a pretty mellow Saturday night, involving Empire Burger and chilling in the hot tub.

Sunday we started the day with a scoping skate spots. I don’t have any photos of the first spot (well three or four spots in one type of spot), because I did a little filming with Jack’s camera when I wasn’t the one skating. The next two photos are my only evidence…

But after a second trip to Empire Burger, I got a few photos…

We returned to spot lurking and came upon this massive gap. I think it deserves a few photos… (no skating photos, though, because filming took precedence)

After some filming fun at that gap, we went back to spot searching and found a nice little gap for me (ha!) that Jack still had some fun with. As soon as we were done, a fox randomly popped up and started roaming around…

We left the fox… or really, I think the fox left us. So we roamed around a bit more, then snapped some photos before going back to chill…

We hung out for a bit, playing dice and waiting for Matt Warner and his friend Nate to arrive.

Then we went to some bar that during the “off-season” had free pool and pinball.

That was about if for the night… minus the 3am trip to 7-eleven because we waited far too late to get food and that was the only option we came up with after starting to look around 12:30am.

The next day we headed out to Frisco to skate a spot Jack had unfinished business with. First the “warm-up section”:

Then the real deal:

Chip showed up and cruised around on my board…

Once we finished at this spot, I brought up the idea to search for the full pipe in Leadville, yet again. This time we had a little bit more direction because Matt hit up Skelly who told us which lake it was at. A little google map action and we were on our way.

First we just scoped out Leadville and found an awesome pizza place to eat…

Next up, full pipe searching once again…

Regardless, another unsuccessful yet fun adventure searching for a full pipe.

The next morning we took a ton of photos on the way out of Breckenridge and back towards Boulder…

Then home to Boulder!
