Hummingbirds.

During KOTC weekend this year (a post about that is coming…), I took soooo many photos of hummingbirds one more on Fuzz’s parents’ deck in Black Forest, that I decided to make an entire post dedicated to them. Oh, and I think there’s one single bird that’s not a hummingbird. Here goes…

Makala and Jus’s wedding

Makala and Jus’s wedding was moved to midnight on Friday night. Earlier in the night, I had some wine with Sara on her back deck and Justin came to join us…   Then I met up with Meagan and Tom for a little impromptu photo shoot on a lifeguard chair…   And then it was time for the moon-lit ceremony

In the middle of my RI visit, summer 2013

At the Ocean Mist with Barbara… And Clay and Seth too… There were even some surfers out, despite the lack of real waves… On that Tuesday night, my mom spent the night at the beach house with me, and I shot some slow exposure photos of the full moon…   And then got up the next morning to take some

K’s bachlorette

Makala’s bachlorette was so awesome. We were a crew of nine girls, and we spent the day on the beach in Westerly with just about every possible type of drink and some snacks and beach games. The weather held up for us, which was amazing since thunder and lightning storms had been predicted. I did my best to document the

Cell phone photos from the first week in RI, July 2013 – Part 1

Starting with the Denver Airport. Chip and I were flying home together and our flight got delayed a few hours. So we ended up having a few beers at a bar… Finally made it to the gate… and on the plane… We flew to Rhode Island early for Grandpa Chet’s funeral, so that was how we spent our first day

Birds and sunset, Coco’s visit, skating Boulder spots, Wallace and Grom’s Birthday, Pueblo trip

Sometimes I bring my camera to skate sessions thinking I might take some skate photos. Instead, I actually skate the whole time and only pull my camera out for something like this…   One Saturday, Coco came to visit!   So much fun! Jack and I have had some short Boulder skate sessions before the sun goes down (can’t wait

Rhode Island in september – day 5 saturday the 16th. Butterfly hunting.

I was on a photo mission on my last day on the beach. Besides the sunrise, I really wanted to take pictures of the butterflies. I’ve never seen so many monarch butterflies anywhere in my entire life. And never this many before in Matunuck. They flew all round my beach house, the dunes, the beach. When I was in the

Rhode Island in september – day 5 sunday the 16th SUNRISE

Sunday was my last full day in Rhode Island. I made sure to wake up a little after 6am to catch the whole sunrise experience. The waves were picking up and the sky was clear… perfect for a spectacular sunrise. So let me ask you this… how many sunrise photos do you think you can handle? Good luck…

Rhode Island in september – day 4 saturday the 15th

I woke up at a little after 6:30am and remember Sue had told me the sunrises had been so beautiful right around 6:30. It was overcast, though, on Saturday morning, and I was a little late, so this is what I saw… All well. At least I had one more morning in the Rhode Island coming up. Anyways, it was

Rhode Island in september – day 2 thursday the 13th

I love waking up at the beach. Even when it’s a little painful. I think I had a little too much fun the night before. So I whined to Chip who was in the next bunk bed over and eventually got out of bed. First trip was to Meagan’s house. Her dad was getting ready for his 60th birthday present
