Ipath in Boulder Part 2. Post-demo, Dark Horse.

The sun set and the Boulder Park demo ended. Still Ryan couldn’t stop skating and found something to drop in on…We all just hung around the park for a bit…

Finally it was time to make moves. Off to the Dark Horse…

And guess who just happened to be there tonight…F’n wee man. Go figure.

Jack was stoked.

I made it in some photos!…There were some epic karaoke performances…

Then someone decided it’d be a good idea for El Vortex to make an appearance…I think the reporter on the tv above was already warning women and children to get into hiding.

After downing some beers and getting some liquid courage, El Vortex hit the stage to sing some karaoke…

Karaoke got El Vortex so stoked that he promptly began wrestling as soon as he got down from the stage. I have only some crappy out of focus photos to document what happened next…

After this, El Vortex was in fact thrown out of the Dark Horse. Oh well, the night went on…

And that was the last I saw of El Vortex and the Ipath team.

Ipath in Boulder Part 1. Fred Gall, Jaws, and team meet El Vortex.

I found El Vortex, with Neil and Lazer, waiting on the hill for the Ipath team, specifically Fred Gall.

He seemed annoyed. We waited… and then a few Ipathers started to show up.

Putting a front to Jon Goemann.

Mike Marks showed up and El Vortex was still talking shit.

Here, entertaining Ryan Reyes and Jaws.

Ehh, I guess Ryan wasn’t really that entertained.

El Vortex grew tired of waiting for Fred. Time to move to a different location.

Enter Ipath team, led now by Fred Gall.

El Vortex was ready and waiting.

El Vortex first demanded payment from Fred.

Looking over the terms of the agreement, Jaws was requested.

Everyone waited for the excitement to commence.

El Vortex began reading poetry, Fred Gall was instantly stoked.

The spectators enjoyed a few laughs.

This is around the time that Jaws found out he was part of the agreement between El Vortex and Fred Gall.

More discussion, Jaws perhaps was getting uneasy?

More laughs and encouragement from the crowd.

more bla bla bla. Fred is stoked. (and not drunk. sike)

uhhh? Too many photos, running out of commentary.

I don’t think this one needs a comment.

Okay now I might just be putting an unnecessary amount of photos of the same thing in this post.

Still more. Guess El Vortex told a joke.

And then all of a sudden there was cake. And El Vortex was on the ground, cake in face.

How did that happen?

And next thing you know, Fred Gall is on the ground, cake in face.

Wow.

Huh.

A sort of embrace. And a longing look at a destroyed cake.

Oh yea, don’t forget about Jaws. Apparently those two felt it was his turn to join in on the fun.

Jaws wasn’t having it. He went for immediate revenge on Fred.

Cake battle begun.

Now Fred on the attack.

Not sure how this change of events happen.

Jaws wasn’t done with the battle.

Fred, a mess

They made up in the end.

Encounter over. Now on to the Boulder Park demo…

Winter Park with Trick Factory and Ipath

Headed up to Winter Park with the Trick Factory in Brian’s new pimp-mobile shagwagon van. We met up with Kyle and Turtle from the Fort, who had already found a campsite and had a fire going. It got COLD that night… and we got rowdy. Good thing cause the Ipath van didn’t show up til around 5am. I realized I fell asleep in my chair at the campfire and called it a night.

Woke up the next morning and took some “nature” pictures…

After that it was time to shoot guns, break down the tents and get moving…

Fuzz with a gun – look out!time to repack

need water!

Then after a quick 7-11 breakfast/pick-me-up, to the park! We were there til the sun went down and I think I skated most of the time. I pulled my camera out a few times to lazily take a few photos…

Mike

Jaws

Ben skating, onlookers

Ryan, trying some goofy tricks

Good times. Camping and skating.

Kansas City, MO.

Got to Kansas City just in time to hit the casino.

Bernie

Bernie and Sam

Next day was all about skating…

We spent a lot(!) of time at this spot. So even though Sketch’s boneless was the only landed trick I got a photo of, I wanted to post a bunch anyways. So yea…

Sketch, boneless.

Bernie on filming duty

Garrett. working on nollie heel. I didn’t get a good photo, but still wanted to include something.

Chad. He never landed the fs flip (unless they went back the next day) but I took so many photos I had to post a few. This one is just to show how high he was getting on this ridiculously difficult thing to skate.

We finally left this spot and drove around to find more.  We did find some rollerbladers scoping some gnarly rails brah!

Sketch wanted to check out this rail so we stopped for a bit…trying to feel out nollie crooks… until we got the boot. bummer.

We did stop and skate this slab spot for awhile….

Then back on the road.

And the last spot of the day… a school spot.

Then time for the highlight of the whole KC stop… some delicious BBQ…

Bernie with the goods

Back on the road, yet again…

(for Fuzz and Jack in particular)

Last view of Kansas City from the Kansas side.

Colorado bound.

Roadtrippin.

And it begins. Starting on my birthday.

Virginia…

Leaving West Virginia, into Kentucky…

We stopped in Louisville, Kentucky to skate the park for a bit. It was over 100 degrees and there were air quality warnings on the highway. Fun, fun.

Not sure what state the Feed Mill was in. The trek through Indiana and Illinois threw me off. Even after looking at a map, I was apparently convinced Kentucky bordered Missouri. Wrong.

Some photos Sketch took as I was driving through St. Louis, Missouri…

Next up… a stop in Kansas City!

2 days in Virginia

Leaving the airport…

In the backyard, time to cut up a fallen tree…

Trip to VA beach…

Sketch barefoot skating a mini ramp on the way to the beach

blunt pop out transfer to ramp

On the way back from the beach…I found a Wyland! At least I think it was… barely got this terrible photo before we drove past.

A night out…

Last day…

A better Disney collection than mine!

Time to hit the road…

Belated Crisis session post

Wow! I have been on the longest hiatus from this blog… seriously. Well here’s some photos from weeeeeeks ago, the last Crisis outing I’ve been on. It was a day after I had gone out to shoot photos with Julien Bleecker and I remember waking up sooo sore. And with a busted knee…

But I still made my way to Crisis and headed out with the gang. Some photos from our first stop…

no comment!

Then to Niver Creek…Connor setting up the shot

Connor started working on this wallie that he’s already done and already gotten a photo of with Dean, but working for the footy…

this picture just made me laugh, so I couldn’t help but stick it in here

There were some photos of Garrett and Justin busting out down the steps, but I’m just trying to make sure I get this posted… maybe some other time they’ll pop up.

Anyways after this Fuzz took me to a double set in Thornton and after awhile of getting my nerves up, I went for it and got served. Hard. It was close though, another time… after the side of my thigh finally heals. Ha.

Up next… VA/road trip photos!
